Here is the start of a 6-legged (4 joints each) small hexabot walker control board. It's currently a big pile of permaboard fritzed Adafruit modules (I soldered them all down just after this photo), but considering moving all of this onto a PCB with Eagle. This board will be bolted into the bottom of a Lynxmotion T-Hex frame with a widened chassis and stiffer servos.
I'm looking to have the PyBoard take GPS or angle/distance coordinates and drive the 24 servos to move to voice-recognition specified direction/position, as well as drive all of the sensors and an arm with a gripper. This will have a Raspberry Pi 3 on the back for heavy calculations and audio/video handling (SLAM and AI), but I'm betting the PyBoard won't have any trouble with the servo kinematics. Much, much work to do, but the chips were all shiny so I thought I'd share this shot.
