Hi.
Got to work on my Rover 5 bot today!
Here are some pics:
Vanilla Dagu Rover 5, this is the 2 motor versions with encoders.
I am convinced it the best third hand you can get for soldering without spending cash
The first part of the build is done, 7.2V from six NiMH cells inside the body of the rover. Covered by the Pololu RP5/Rover 5 Expansion Plate (I don't like that cover) Power goes to a TrexJr motor controller and an obsolete 5v linear regulator. Added two LED's for power indication (one for the 7.4V and one for the 5V) and thats all so far.
I'm new with robotics and micorcontrollers, but I am an certified service electronics technician so I'ts fun to finally work with some soldering again.
