pyboard not detected after firmware update

Post by olivierg » Thu Jun 22, 2017 1:17 am

Hi,

I have recieved today the pyboard 1.1, i have not problem for installing driver on W10 (Creator).
I launch the terminal software (coolterm) i have the welcome message with version number 1.7.
I download the software from ST web site and update the board with last version (1.9.1) without problem.
I remove the DFU jumper, now the card is not detect by windows.
I follow the Safe mode and factory reset procedure on web site. No change.
I reflash the firmware and verify no problem, remove jumper pyboard not detected.
I have connect to my mac, same problem not detected.

Are you another solution ?
Or the pyboard is dead ?

Best regards
Olivier
Ps: i am beginner on pyboard, but i have been using MCUs for a long time (AVR) with Bascom (Basic language for AVR).

You message seems to imply that you downloaded the pyboard firmware from ST?

You should be downloading the pyboard firmware from: http://micropython.org/download
Make sure you download an image that starts with pybv11 for the pyboard v1.1 board. The 1.1 and 1.0 boards have different frequency crystals on them, so if you mix up the firmware that will definitely cause it to not work properly.

After removing the jumper you need to reset or power cycle the board.
