Pyboard not recognized by Windows 10

I’ve got trouble connecting to Pyboard v1.0 from Windows 10. I’ve booted Windows in the mode that allows unsigned drivers. Device Manager recognizes the board and Windows shows it as a USB drive but cannot display any files. When I try updating the driver from the Windows returns (after a long pause) ‘not found’. Any ideas how to I go forward? Thanks.

This should be fixed by firmware v1.9.1 (and later ones). Which firmware are you using? You can download the firmware here: http://micropython.org/download

Thanks, I've downloaded the firmware (1.9.2) and I can see that there is a more recent time stamp on pybcdc.inf (in the stmhal folder) than on my pyboard. Should overwrite the latter with the former? Sorry if these are basic questions - I'm just starting out with micropython.

Everything is now working fine - it took a few attempts but following the most recent Micropython Docs + the Windows set up doc finally worked. Persistence and RTFM rewarded.
