Clone from the original PyBoard

Post by ThomasChr » Mon Apr 23, 2018 9:37 am

This seems to be a nearly identical clone: http://www.icstation.com/stm32f4-microp ... 11882.html

Does anyone spot a difference?

Thomas

PS: I wouldn't recommend buying that board. Micropython is also funded by selling the original boards and buying cheap clones will hurt the development of Micropython!

I found the first change. Seems that they cut the cost on the voltage regulator. My pyboard uses 5 Microamps in pyb.standby() - the chinese Board uses 50 Microamps.

There are others too, even one which copies the board one by one (same formfactor, same connectors, same board labelling), just worse manufacturing = not worth the savings.
