All ESP8266 boards running MicroPython.
Official boards are the Adafruit Huzzah and Feather boards.
Target audience: MicroPython users with an ESP8266 board.

I totally agree.

I came to micropython on the ESP8266 through the Adafruit tutorial. That gives reasonable instructions for building a VM with the tool chain. I used that but then this week decided to update my micropython to the latest version. I ran into issues with the tool chain assembly and did not want to stall on 'playing' with the ESP until could sort out the compiler.

Having a latest binary was fabulous - thank you.

This should make a big difference to the rate of adoption of micropython because people will be able to download completed projects as a starting point.....this really should help newbies get the bug...
