I did bring up the Spresense in the January Melbourne MicroPython Meetup. The hardware is really interesting (six cores!) but, as you might gather in the video :), there was some skepticism when Sony's name was mentioned. Apparently they don't have the best track record for good microcontrollers - speaking with a few people after the news round-up there were a couple of who were adamant that they wouldn't work with a Sony micro again in the future...

That said, the hardware looks powerful, the SDK seems better documented than most - it would make for an interesting port!
