Does the "lcd160cr" fully compatible with the d-series pyboard?

Post by roncromberge » Sun Sep 08, 2019 12:47 pm

Hello,

I saw some pictures of the lcd160cr -->v1.1<- with wbus connectors.

Is this board fully compatible with the d-series boards? And if so why is this display not showed in the shop by the d-series boards?

Yes, the addition of the wbus connector is the main difference between 1.0 and 1.1. It works well with the pybd, I have one.

I'll let the store admin know. I agree, they probably should be in the pybd section.

It does indeed work well. I pointed out to Damien a while back that the way the store is laid out doesn't make it obvious.

The other issue I mentioned is that it would be good if there were documentation showing what pins brought out on the LCD160CR are available for use when plugged into a Pyboard D. Figuring it out from the schematics looks laborious.
